What you learn in this half-day tour will provide you with information to make educated decisions about what happens to your businesses waste, as well as better understand the impact of your products and services.
The tour will start with a light breakfast followed by site visits to YCA Recycling, Integrated Waste Services, Jeffries, Sims Metal Management and Ecocycle.

This tour will visit four sites and provides residents with an opportunity to get a behind the scenes look at what happens to our landfill, recycling and organics.
During the tour, you find out where your landfill material goes, how your food scraps become valuable compost, and how plastics are recycled!
Tour will depart from F.A.R.M. Freeling.

Professional Development

This event is a series of webinar style sessions- including ‘visiting’ sites we would normally visit by bus as well as live special guest speakers. Sites will include NAWMA (recycling MRF), IWS (landfill), APR (plastics recycling), Jeffries (organics), 3D print recycling, and ERA (e-waste recycling).
We will share and discuss the online resources and activities KESAB offers to use with students and families, as well as how the Wipe Out Waste (WOW) program can assist your site to reduce waste and educate students and the wider community.
